NETW211 / COMPLETED ACADEMIC PROJECT
Azure Cloud Infrastructure Labs
From a virtual machine to a connected environment.
A sequence of academic cloud labs covering virtual machines, virtual networks, connectivity, storage, and monitoring in Microsoft Azure.
DeVry University coursework01 / THE OBJECTIVE
Azure Cloud Infrastructure Labs
A cloud environment combines several connected layers. The coursework required working through compute, networking, access configuration, storage, and monitoring rather than treating them as isolated tasks.
02 / THE WORK
My contribution.
- Documented creating, connecting to, and deleting an Azure virtual machine.
- Created a virtual network with two subnets and documented VM placement and connectivity checks.
- Worked through SSH access and network security group configuration exercises.
- Documented blob uploads, snapshots, versioning, action groups, alert rules, and alert-testing screens.
VMs · VNet · Two subnets
SSH · NSG · Blob exercises
Action groups · Rules · Alerts
03 / PROJECT EVIDENCE
What the work produced.
A completed coursework presentation with Azure portal screenshots and command-line evidence across the lab sequence.
Evidence reviewed: NETW211 project presentation. Source pages 3–19 and 21–29.
04 / WHAT I LEARNED
The reasoning behind the result.
Infrastructure work benefits from checking one layer at a time: resource creation, network placement, connectivity, access rules, and monitoring.
05 / WHAT THIS DEMONSTRATES
Practical skills in context.
Understanding how compute, networking, access, and monitoring fit together.
Project deliverable: VM provisioning, network placement, connectivity checks, storage, and monitoring exercises.
Status & scope
Completed Azure lab work. The environment is historical; current resource availability and production security have not been assessed for this portfolio.
Based on the original project presentation, reviewed October 17, 2026. Historical project evidence; not a new execution test.
